Bob Betcher

Founder & Chief Recruitment Officer

I’m Bob Betcher,

I am a father of two college student athletes, a mentor, coach and trusted advisor. The game of lacrosse has been in my DNA my entire life.

I started Live 4 Lax Recruiting because I want to help
aid and support student athletes navigate the confusing and complex NCAA recruiting process.

When both of my sons were in high school, I saw firsthand all the challenges that players faced daily. Questions
arose such as:

How do I get on the college coaches’ radars?

How do I best prepare my high school academic transcript for admission to the school of my choice?

Am I playing with the right travel organization?

Do I need a trainer?

Should I focus more on prospect events or showcase events?

Will I qualify for an academic or athletic scholarship?

Who will help me promote myself?

I have coached at many different levels: community youth programs, travel teams, high school, NCAA Division 1 college programs, and men's club lacrosse.

It is inevitable that most players get lost in the recruiting process without specific guidance. I have made it my mission to ensure that the players and parents take a realistic approach to their son’s areas of strength and areas of development to help them find the “right fit” for their college experience. My philosophy is that this is academically driven first, and athletics are secondary.
